GAI Education Awards Success

Lorient was delighted to be a co-sponsor of the GAI Education Awards alongside main sponsor ASSA ABLOY, and Union. The event is the largest and most important event in the architectural ironmongery calendar.

The 41st GAI Education Awards was held on Thursday 3 March to celebrate the outstanding educational achievements of students who passed the prestigious GAI Diploma in 2020 and 2021. As well as showcasing the industry’s brightest talents, the lunch is also a great networking opportunity, with 100’s of guests from the UK & all over the world.

Members of the Lorient Commercial team were delighted to once again network with industry professionals face to face; and together we celebrated the hard work of professionals who achieved a GAI qualification. Many of which, included our fellow ASSA ABLOY colleagues both from the UK and overseas.

Eryl Jones, Managing Director of the Door Hardware Group said:

“Education must be the bedrock of our industry; and I’m proud that ASSA ABLOY places such great importance on education & training. The advice we give, the knowledge we impart, the products that we make and sell, must keep people safe and secure. In the schools, offices, hospitals and homes, in all the places where our friends and family live and work each day, our part is to ensure they do so in the safest possible way. Getting it wrong is simply not an option, and that is why education and the work of the Guild is so important.”
