BS EN 1634-1: 2008
“Fire resistance and smoke control tests for door, shutter and, openable window assemblies and elements of building hardware. Fire resistance tests for doors, shutters and openable windows".
This is the more recently introduced British and European-wide Standard for testing fire resistant doors. The Building Regulations for England & Wales now recognise both BS EN 1634-1: 2008 and BS 476 Pt 20/22 as valid methods of test for fire resistant doors.
These Standards do not state performance requirements - these are given in other documents such as Approved Document B to the Building Regulations (England & Wales), and BS 9999: 2008.
