On 1st August 2019, we celebrate a momentous milestone in our history – our 40th anniversary. From humble beginnings in 1979, Lorient’s first combined fire and smoke seal was created in a small industrial unit in Surrey. Fast forward to today, Lorient is a global market leader in high performance door sealing systems recognised worldwide for quality, technical capability, and service. We have over 100 employees across the globe; and 100s of products in our range; and we continue to break new records.
We are now proudly part of the ASSA ABLOY Group; which brings a wealth of technology, resource and capability to support the continued development of our ability to serve our customers.
While the company’s services and operations have expanded, our underlying principles have remained the same. Proudly a Made in Britain company, Lorient designs and manufactures the highest quality sealing systems that protect people and property throughout commercial, public, residential and industrial buildings. Through constant development, evolution and refinement, we have created many industry firsts; always underpinned by independent third-party accreditation, and extensively tested to relevant building codes and regulations around the world.
Our success – past, present and future – is powered by our incredibly passionate and committed team, whose pursuit for excellence drives continuous improvement throughout the business. We’ve forged deep relationships with our customers, partners and suppliers alike – and we thank them for helping us make us who we are today.
