Lorient's new Product Overview brochure

Leading door seal manufacturer Lorient has launched a new and improved Product Overview brochure for its range of sealing systems for door assemblies.

Fire doors and all passive fire protection products play a unique role in the fire safety of a building by reducing risk to other compartments; and by protecting property from the devastating consequences of a fire itself, and the resultant, damaging effects of hot and cold smoke. Lorient provides a range of sealing systems which, when properly installed, prevent the passage of sound, smoke and fire – meeting the demands of the new and changing regulations that place even more requirements than ever on doors.

The new Product Overview brochure provides a summary of Lorient’s comprehensive product range, featuring: acoustic, smoke, fire and thermal containment seals for door assemblies; integrity® architectural seals; fire resistant glazing systems; specialised fire resistant door hardware; fire and smoke resistant dampers / air transfer grilles as well as Georgia-Pacific - an Engineered Component System For High Performance Fire Door Assemblies.

All Lorient products are manufactured to the highest standards and are supported with a complete library of test evidence to endorse their exceptional performance. Fitness-for-purpose and durability are assured with Lorient’s commitment to independent approvals which include: CERTIFIRE, BBA and IFC Certification.

The brochure features relevant information and advice on door sealing; to help anyone involved in the construction industry to meet the latest requirements of the Approved Documents to the Building Regulations (England and Wales). Similar guidance for Northern Ireland is also included; as well as the relevant requirements for Scotland - The Scottish Technical Handbooks.

The Product Overview also contains information about Lorient’s range of services such as its two fully-accredited CPD-accredited seminars: Performance Door Design: The Basics of Sound Reduction; and The Role and Performance of Fire and Smoke Resisting Door Assemblies.
