Lorient appoints new installation partner - Mila Window & Door Maintenance Division
Lorient, a market leader in acoustic, smoke and fire containment systems for door assemblies, is delighted to announce the appointment of a new installation partner - Mila Window & Door Maintenance Division.
Fire doors and all passive fire protection products play a unique role in the fire safety of a building, and therefore in reducing risk to building occupants in other compartments. Properly maintained doors form an essential element of the fire safety plan for every building. As with any life-safety product, a fire door should be regularly checked and maintained to ensure it functions properly and is ready to use.
Mila Window & Door Maintenance, established in 1988, specialises in window and door maintenance specifically for Local Authorities and Housing Associations. The company aims to help minimise the long-term maintenance costs associated with housing stocks. Specialist knowledge and experience gained over 20 years allows Mila Maintenance engineers to work effectively with all major profile materials, systems and hardware and in any given situation - from sheltered accommodation to tower blocks.
“We are thrilled to be given Approved Installer status“, says Dave Cooke, Projects Director for Mila Window & Door Maintenance. “Lorient is a brand that is trusted and respected and we are delighted to be able to supply and install their acoustic, smoke and fire sealing products."
The appointment of Approved Installers will ensure that Lorient's range of products can be installed and maintained by fully-trained experts; for upgrade, new build or simply to meet the requirements of the Building Regulations (including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order).
